Berridge!!!! Well Die I know your a big Langton fan and I like his story how he's a farmer and helped set up the ring before he defeated Monty for the title and then was milking the next day that real good stuff! But anyway on to my thoughts of the fight which are that I think Monty Betham will
win this I just feel that he will be too good defensively and be able to make Langton miss I don't think he will knock him out but I think he will win comftorably on points .

OK, Monty has NEVER beaten anyone with a winning record, except the fellow who's a cricketer in a celebrity match.  He's gonna get his ass whooped.

I know Montys record isn't flash but that's because he quit boxing when he should of stuck at it. He definitley does have some Skills though and you may be underestimating him a bit I don't think Langton is going to be able to walk through him but we will see.

Monty's record is undefeated but his opponents are suspect. Monty will be the favourite to win this, at least with the TAB and the fans in Auckland. He has a name in Warriors circles and in boxing thru his father. Monty's style, from what little I've seen, is to dash in and throw a few punches, and then to dash out. His foot and hand speed are good. Langton won't walk thru him because Monty won't be there--always moving. No, James is going to catch him during one of his kamakazi missions. Put your money on James--you'll even get some good odds.

Your right there Montys style seems to be to dash in then dash out he's no going to stand there and trade with Langton is he? If Langton can catch monty and land some power shots on him he should win but he has to catch him first and like you say Monty has good footwork.

James knows how Monty fights, and what he's up against. He just needs to put on his track shoes and chase him all over SKY CITY. Monty might even go into the casino and place a bet, waiting for Langton to catch up.

Monty did have the capacity to go with speed up against Cameron, with that he might keep Langton occupied..

What do you mean "go with speed," Sham? The fight with Cameron was an exhibition. Monty ran, and tied up Cameron when he didn't have a choice. My guess is he'll do the same with Langton. With Cameron, Monty never tried to win the fight, just tried not to get ko'd.

I'm sure Monty is training the house down, is in great shape, and getting excellent sparring. But when the bell rings, and James hits him, he'll run.

Really hope the winner of Langton v Betham takes on Bryant regardless of what Bryant does in super 8.
a) it would be a great fight and b) the best in the division should hold the belt.

Anyone else notice that Israel Adesanya is fighting in a heavyweight King in the Ring on October 31, four days before Super 8???? What if he picks up an injury? Or is he pulling out of King in the Ring?

Die, Even tho it was an exhibition Monty's in and out speed flurries hold and then run managed to make a bit of a dick out of Shane who admittedly wasn't taking it too seriously. He may apply the same craft with Langton, and then as you said Langton would need chase him down Queen St.
