Spong is the guy Usyk was lined up to make his heavyweight debut against but failed the VADA testing.

Sprong yes
Schwarz yes

Schwarz won't fight outside of Germany. Yeah, Kownacki is tough, very tough. Saw his fight against Arreola, and a washed up Arreola went the distance with him. If Fa wants to move up in the rankings, these are the two guys he can beat. If Spong failed his VADA test, then he may be out of the top 10.

Just saw the Fa fight. I'll give him a break as he lost his father not long ago so good on him for getting back into the ring so quickly but yeah, he needs to get back to about 250/255 pounds as he seemed to struggle fitness wise in that fight with the extra weight he was carrying. Had it 98-90 to Fa but feel that it wasn't a fair reflection of how close the fight was.

He needs to get to a weight where he feels the strongest, as he needs to bring the power from several fights ago. Don't know what that weight is, but he appeared more muscley earlier.

He seemed to gas in this fight in the middle rounds and I feel it was due to the extra weight he was carrying. His better showings have come when he has come into fights lighter.

yeah, agree. we had a short camp due to fathers death and had 2 weeks of feasting where he put a bit of weight on which is understandable. Also his bleeding came back 3 weeks out. The first operation there was a mistake made so getting it re done in next week. we were happy from a win point of view and experience. learnt allot again!! this is all helpful with future. Its a hard road as a clean figure ( drug wise) as small things can upset the pale cart with out the assistance of "supplements". in saying this its a proud road we travel down as a clean team and fighter.

I'd assume both Hemi and Fa will be put in Utah more often with the Tongan population there? Heard Hemi could be put back in Saudi Arabia for his next fight with Fa back out in March?

Anyone in particular you're looking at for Fa next? Someone durable similar to Guinn? Someone with a bit of height who's not as durable at the same time like Daniel Martz, Razvan Cojanu etc? Or a big name opponent?

yeah exactly as what you said above. one more durable fight with hight. obviously main aim is to get juniors body in shape. we know he has the talent just need to cut a break health wise and we ready to roll

Given Jr.'s health and other problems, including his weight, and the fact that his performances have gone from great to ok, it's a good strategy. He needs to show some consistency against a journeyman before taking on the elite. He's got a good ranking, is undefeated, and on his way up. Good strategy markk!

China's Zhilei Zhang (21-0, 16 KOs) is pushing for a fight with Fa (19-0, 10 KOs).

Saw this at the end of the Parker article by Johnstone. Make this fight happen markk!
