New Zealand news: James Wilson and Junior Fa return
RINGSIDE 19 OCTOBER 2017

James Wilson who came to fight three times in one month earlier this year in New Zealand, has returned to the sport in Mexico. He won the fight by Knockout, only 15 seconds in the first round.

And finally we have received word Junior Fa will be making his in ring return in America. It is unknown who his opponent will be at this stage or if he will be fighting for a regional title, but this will be his first fight since his win in May over Hunter Sam.

We do know that Junior Fa has had some problem dealing with aggravating. Fa has a very busy 2016 with 9 fights, which wouldn't have helped. After some good time off, we are hoping Junior has recovered and looking to get another W before end of the year.

On a side note, it has been recognised that Conrad Lam is next in line for a title shot with in any of the NZ commissioning bodies. So the question is who will he challenge for the titles?

Anthony Taylor took on Nick Hikorua on the 7th of October making his first fight in 18 months. Taylor won the bought by TKO in the 3rd round but this time he has came up a weight into the Super Welterweight class.

He will be fighting on Shane Cameron fight night in November, live on Sky TV. He will be taking on NZ ranked 3rd (who peaked at 1st earlier this year) Jerome Pascua.

what's everyone's thought's on Junior's new trainer?

Doug was a good kickboxer in his day and an okay boxer. Not sure how he stacks up as a trainer.

Plan was to have 8 -10 weeks in states as a prelude to moving over full time. Was organised to trail an American trainer with multiple world champions and just couldn't afford to take nz coach over for that length of time . So made a choice to train with a gym with multiple trainers in the downtime and lots of gd sparing at the gym . . Doug being one of the trainers. And to be fair doug was the last kiwi norm male to make the Olympics along side soul. Things changed with the schedule and a hard fight came up so we took and decided was best to dedicate to the group of trainers we have been using. Just one of those things and we are grateful for opportunity to fight on Tv live in states as well as all the people that have helped junior along the way. What I can say is the chemistry between doug , Eugene and junior is fantastic and the planning and game plan they have has been excellent with the current coaches. They have an eye for detail and junior is very engaged. I have every confidence that junior will be successful with doug over there and

Markk. Junior is on the undercard of the Wilder fight, correct? Will his fight be one of the televised ones? Do you know if it'll be PPV or Sky Pop Up in NZ?
