I can't believe you're all get excited about this fight, it's a dredful mismatch, should really be classed as a non title bout.

To be fair there isn't a hell of a lot out there outside the big 3. I rate him ahead of Miller who is a drugs cheat anyway and this isn't a terrible fight for short notice.

Don't think it's any more of a mis-match than Miller, and I do think he has an outside chance of catching AJ.

He has a chance early rounds 3-5 after that it becomes a beat down. Aj struggled early with Povetkins short range speed and i think Ruiz is faster, its just a matter of not getting hit on way in.
This is the level of opponent AJ will be fighting for some time as I think Furey and Wilder have a plan together to freeze him out of big fights.
Ortiz turned him down... only big fight left is in UK v Whyte.
They will have him fighting low level guys and then gain bargaining rights ...thats my theory

About the same, AJ either stops him inside 4 one sided rounds or plods to a 10/11-1  round points victory. Either way it won't be competitive.

Joshua: I haven’t underestimated Ruiz one bit

WBA/IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has insisted that he hasn’t underestimated Andy Ruiz Jr. “one bit” ahead of their unified world title clash at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday June 1, shown live on DAZN in the US and Sky Sports Box Office in the UK.

Joshua heads into his highly-anticipated US debut as a heavy favorite with many bookies but he says he’s all too aware of the threats posed by Ruiz. “It’s not about what you look like, it’s a craft, a skill, and what’s in your heart and your head matters in the end,” said Joshua. “Andy has shown he has all that, he can fight and box, that’s what matters. I think Andy is a great challenger and will bring it on June 1.
“All I’ve heard is ‘AJ will smash him in a round’. From the outside they think that anyone can box, so how is the guy that doesn’t look like a fighter able to box? I always say that if you put ten bodybuilders in the ring, not one of them could fight for a regional title in boxing.

“Take me out of my body but keep the same attributes and height, same jab, same chin, same heart and same mind, but I looked different – I’d still get to the same position I am in because it’s what is within you that makes a champion, your genetics, and his genetics are the same – and he took the fight!

“He’s keen, he’s game and you cannot knock him. He can fight and he’s got hands. He gave a world champion in Joseph Parker lots of problems, and when you look at the fight the Parker gave Whyte when people are saying Whyte can beat Wilder, Fury and me, Andy is championship level for sure, and I have not underestimated him one bit.”

I agree but Wilder needs to be careful doing that as he's turning 34 in a few months, he doesn't have much longer to play these games before he starts to show signs of age. As a guy who relies on reflexes and speed and with little technical ability he won't age well towards his 40s.

I honestly think Hearn will be happy to have AJ fight Whyte next then look to a Dubois/Gorman winner or maybe a Joe Joyce next year because that'll be a big fight in the uk by then.

They won't have an issue with waiting until Wilder is 36 before fighting him as he will be an easier fight then, and as long as AJ wins, history is written by the Victor and it'll go down as Wilder was ducking AJ until he was ready to cash out.

If Ruiz can bedazzle AJ with speed and combos early he has a outside chance- once AJ starts to time his attacks its all over. Go 4 it Ruiz make history....
I just have a feeling 1 of the 2 big boys will stumble before they meet - which will take a few mil off the earnings for them both
