Personally I do feel parker is overrated, he's a good prospect but I don't feel he's exceptional in any way.
The thing is most of the parker fans are just that, Parker fans. Not boxing fans. A good friend of mine told me parker was the best prospect since Tyson. And he didn't even know that klitscho and fury were fighting, or who fury was. The last fight he watched before a Parker fight was probably sbw.
But we've had to live through this with Cameron, then the tua comeback. I was one of few who was saying if tua had anything left he'd blast a fighter as basic as Shane out early, then after he did all the former Cameron fans were saying tua would destroy David haye.
If you ask one of these guys about parker vs Joshua they will say parker will ko him, them if you ask tactics, they don't have an answer basically they say that parker will ko him in a slugfest. So you are like "OK so he's going to stand at midrange and trade punches with probably the hardest puncher in the division" and they just look confused
The thing is if parker loses these people won't watch anymore boxing, they are in it purely to support parker and for national pride, maybe its not a bad thing, but at some point because of them I'm going to clean up at the tab when Joe fights a world level opponent.
