Joseph Parker
OK, a compromise with Duco: $25 for students, beneficiaries, and senior citizens. No fai, please don't behave like Sham. We all appreciate your uniqueness, as it keeps Sham alive as he hurls insults...back and forth with you.

Die I think you should pm David Higgins about a proposal, $25 for students, senior citizens and beneficiaries. Lonergan won't want it but David might go for it.

On second thoughts Duco need charge less for mediocre build'em fights across the board. $40 is way too much for anyone to watch Jo Vs Martz.

Joseph Parker’s next two opponents named

The next two fights have been announced for unbeaten heavyweight Joseph Parker (16-0, 14 KOs). On December 5 at Claudelands Arena in Hamilton, New Zealand, Parker will take on 6’7 Daniel “The Mountain” Martz (14-2-1, 11 KOs). Martz will be both the tallest and youngest opponent that Parker has faced to date.

Then on January 23, Parker heads to his homeland of Samoa, where he faces his first-ever southpaw challenger in the form of Jason Bergman (25-11-2, 16 KOs).

Martz hails from Clarksburg, West Virginia, and Bergman is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Both are managed by Pat Nelson.

Trainer Kevin Barry says there is rational behind every opponent choice, “Joe is currently ranked 7th by the WBO and rising fast. Every opponent we face is designed to ready Joe for the ultimate goal of a world title shot. When that opportunity presents itself we must be ready.”

btw- Stu Duncan offered fans on CHB the chance to ask Joseph or Kevin Barry up to 10 questions that he'd get answered for us.. no takers so far... if you have any questions, heres your chance:

Thanks cranky. I gave them three questions after I filled out a registration form. Looks like a good forum for info:

Who do you want to fight next in the top 5 of any of the alphabets?
When do you plan to fight in the US or Europe?
What's next for Izu?

Jeremiah Karpency is the southpaw with a 12-0 record that Stu Duncan (matchmaker) and Team Parker wanted. I guess because he's 12-0. Yes, but look at who he's fought. Two guys with winning records, and he's only made it out of West Virginia a time or two. Have a look: http://boxrec.com/boxer/533930 I'll take Jason Bergman as an opponent over Karpency any day.

I just read Parker was going to be fighting Daniel Martz tonight on Boxing News and it blew my mind. I just moved to West Virginia in May and watched Martz (who is a local here in WV US) stop a journeyman from Detroit on body shots a few months ago at the local casino (in Wheeling WV). I met the fella at the bar that night at the casino and he was a nice guy. He was seriously tall. I walk around at 5'11-6'0 and weigh around 220 lbs. This guy towered over me and is definitely a big ass dude.

He looked good in the fight I saw and he was probably the only fighter that night that made an impression on me. I could almost feel the concussion from some of those body shots he landed. He certainly isn't close to JPs level but I wouldn't write him off as a complete bum. He's a big guy, he can punch , and he's not a terrible fighter. I'm actually really excited to see this.

Well thanks for that Pilgrim on my own behalf I'm happy to hear that, it's the 1st word of encouragement I have heard concerning Martz. I hope some of what you say is correct if only for the paying Nz public, we want good boxing and havnt seen any for awhile.
Thanks for the heads up although I'm not sure dropping his hands and going to the body will benefit him much against Parker.

Ustinov used to drop his hands too, mainly his right one. It's just that Tua couldn't reach him. I thought for sure that Ustinov would have come to NZ to fight Parker. He likes NZ, was even trying to get a wife in Nelson. Has worked with Duco before, and a win over Parker would catapult him back in the top 10. I thought Ustinov really had some good skills to go along with his size.

Pilgrim, what are you doing in West Virginia? Hopefully, a lucrative job??? I spent several years there one day. Football mad state.
