HOW Exactly PARKER Beat WILDER - Best Film Studies:
Was Parker using "Fury" tactics to beat Wilder? Partly - but they were refined and developed to the point of "Hit without being hit". This was no "accidental" victory. It was thoroughly thought-out, planned and executed. A total shut-out.
Two 'Film study' videos are below. Both are very valuable in showing the exact tactics used-

Just saw it! Thanks again, kiwi. You'd think that Malik Scott would at least help Wilder with his footwork. That was amateurish. Parker fought a smart fight. Although I do disagree with Raf at times. Parker throws his left hook and overhand right way too wide. And when he ducks low, he's open for an uppercut. Fortunately, Wilder was too worried about getting hit, and too off balance, to counter.

Either we have learned Malick talks a great game ( I do enjoy his interviews) or...Deontay is unteachable

Everybody has seen how unwieldy and uncoordinated Wilder can be - for years now.
But you need tremendous speed and BOLDNESS to beat him. And most HWs are such plodders they would truly struggle to do what Parker did.
We saw Parker do things in this fight I have never seen him do. It's like he suddenly understood the game on a whole new level.
I truly hope it is the birth of a whole new fighter with tremendous focus, strategy and AGGRESSION.

He's on his way, kiwi. Next opponent, please. We'll see if this is just for Wilder, or Parker can deliver on his new found skills and attitude. Remember, he said he was disciplined in camp, no short cuts. Meaning, he did cheat on his diet and training up until Wilder. Keep that attitude, and he can beat the elite.
