I think the key for AJ and Hearn is that Wallin was No2 IBF so he takes his ranking likely. Makes you think if Wilder beat JP how likely was the Wilder AJ fight in reality- I'm thinking low %.
People were asking why AJ was fightig a southpaw to prepare for DW??? I think now the plan was the IBF all alongand they would say AJ with a belt means a bigger fight with DW and stall again... so in fact JP didn't derail any plans apart from lower DW value.

I think they would have fought, Wilder/AJ. Mainly because of the SA money they would be paid. No other reason. Wallin looked very average except for the Fury fight. I think Hearn figured it was an easy fight. And the same with Wilder, with JP being a 8-1 underdog. I think AJ KO's Hrgovic, and will be an easy fight for him. Would rather he fight Zhang to see which one of them is the real deal.

Those two fights would be a good headliner in a similar headliner to the one just past. Put Wilder vs Charr on that while we're at it. Or, how about JJ? Two losers that need redemption.
I agree, Hearn is cherry picking AJ's opponents. At least until he gets a mega-fight, maybe with Fury if he wins both fights with Usyk. But that's down the track.

What's a Can Man? I can't think of anyone JP has avoided except Fury for personal reasons. Very refreshing. Kiwi, JP/Hrgovic and AJ/Zhang will be the better match-up, but probably unlikely. AJ is wimping out now, saying he wants the belt (because it's Hrgovic he fights) rather than Zhang, who is much more difficult (and marketable).
