Joseph Parker
Faure's a Haymon fighter, and Haymon doesn't do business with the WBO so that won't be happening. Faure's just trying to get his name out there but is a decent prospect at the same time.

Faure??? The article mentioned Frank Sanchez. I saw his last fight, and he's good. Really good. But is he ready to step up and fight Parker? Don't know.

Oops, my bad. Just checked the rankings, and he's listed as Frank Sanchez Faure. AF is right as always.

There's nothing in it for Parker tbh. Faure's a decent prospect and is doing a good job getting his name out there but Parker would be silly to take a fight like this not that it would be on the cards at this stage of their careers. I guess Parker just needs to keep winning whoever they put infront of him when the word goes back to normal.

I agree.  Fighting a guy ranked #11 accomplishes what?  He needs to fight either Whyte or Usyk.  Maybe Rivas.  Or maybe Helenius.  Someone who can get him a title fight.  But with AJ already committed to Usyk and Pulev, Wilder facing Fury, and then the Fury/AJ megafight, there's no room for Parker for at least a year.

BTW, what did Charles Martin do to be the IBF #2?  Beat Gerald Washington???

Yeah Rivas and Helenius are realistic opponents if Eddie wants to spend a bit on Parker.

On Martin, yep pretty much. The rankings can be very silly sometimes.

Martin had a narrow loss to Kownacki (when he was highly rated) then bt Washington so has at least fought higher caliber fighters than JP and he is a former WC so suspect this relates to his ranking.
I think now the fight with Fa may happen as NZ so fa (see what I did there ..) ahead of other countries in getting control of the virus that we may be able to start sporting events and have an international TV audience.

Very clever so fa. Where's markk? Just when we need to advise him on how much money to take in the Parker/Fa fight, he goes missing. OK, just in case he's listening...$900,000, take it or leave it Mr Higgins.

Yup put a high price as it could be the only chance at a major payday, otherwise just keep Fa undefeated I say and play the waiting game. As I've said before, based on what we've seen from Fa as a pro (I understand he's had a few health struggles), he hasn't really impressed operating at a low level and I feel he gets beat by a lot of guys in the top 50 so yeah, pad it up and wait for the big payday(s).

I think 500k + to fight JP in NZ (no travel costs+ hotels etc to deduct) is a big payday for Fa
The only way he gets more is for a title shot and I don't see that anytime soon
If he really believes he can beat JP he should sign the contract win and a title shot becomes a hell of a lot more realistic
Don't take the fight and lose to a no name for 25k - deductions etc and then kick yourself
