AJ vs Wilder

You should have a bet, that'd pay at least $8 maybe even $10.

I think Miller is dangerous as hell to most heavys, he would batter Whyte all over the ring imo.

Luis Ortiz says Wilder would “be all over Joshua,” would stop him in three-rounds
James Slater - July 21, 2018 19 Comments

Cuban danger man Luis Ortiz knows firsthand how hard reinging WBC heavyweight king Deontay Wilder can punch, with either hand, and the southpaw who is set to return to action against Ravzan Cojanu later this month believes the power that stopped him would also prove too much for Anthony Joshua. Only Ortiz feels Wilder would get Joshua out of there far quicker than he stopped him.

As fans know Wilder, in overcoming a rough patch, halted Ortiz in the tenth-round of an at times thrilling battle back in March. Now, in predicting the outcome of the fight we all want to see (but will not get to see until next year at the earliest) Ortiz told Premiere Boxing Chanel how Wilder would KO the WBA/WBO/IBF heavyweight champion inside just three-rounds.

Along with praising Wilder’s brutal punching power, Ortiz also paid tribute to Wilder’s chin. Wilder has a far better chin than Joshua, the 39 year old said. This chin, along with Wilder’s power, make an AJ win all but impossible according to Ortiz.

“WIlder will be all over him,” Ortiz said.

Ortiz also brought up the Joshua-Wladimir Klitschko fight and stated how a younger Klitschko would definitely have finished Joshua off when he dropped him and had him in big trouble the way he did in April of 2017.

“Wilder will not forget that fight,” Ortiz said.

There is no doubt Joshua was in dire trouble in those middle rounds against the 41 year old Klitschko, yet the older man let him off the hook (big brother Vitali, who worked his brother’s corner that night, later blamed himself for advising Wladimir to not rush things and pace himself).

Ortiz, along with a good number of other people, thinks Wilder, a vicious finisher, would never allow a wounded and hurt foe to escape. But will we ever get to see the unification fight between Wilder and Joshua?

Ortiz is like the rest of us: he wants to see this one go down and badly.

Wilder: Joshua camp is “begging” for fight

WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder says that after his clash with Tyson Fury the team WBA/IBF/WBO champ is begging him to fight. “They’re definitely begging now,” Wilder said on the Joe Rogan podcast. “He’s trying to reach out, all of a sudden. His management is trying to reach out to mine, as well. But he could have had this opportunity. He had many opportunities. He could have fought Luis Ortiz, he could have fought me, he had a chance to fight Fury, as well.

“People want to know who’s the best now. Especially after seeing this Fury fight. I’ve been trying to show people who’s the best. I always say I’m the best. I’ll forever say I’m the best until I get defeated!”

oshua-Whyte 2 on inside track

By Ray Wheatley – World of Boxing

WBC #1, WBO #1 heavyweight Dillian Whyte was impressive in scoring an eleventh round knockout over WBA #5, IBF #5 Dereck Chisora on Saturday and he now deserves a world title opportunity against IBF, WBO, WBA champion Anthony Joshua according to promoter Eddie Hearn.

Joshua, who previously beat Whyte (KO7) three years ago, drew boos from fans in the Manchester Arena when he stated, “If #1 and #2 (Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury) are not available, I will do Dillian.”

Hearn, however, says he doesn’t believe that Wilder will fight Joshua in April and that leaves the door open for Whyte. “Dillian against AJ is a f**king unbelievable fight,” he stated.

Wilder will fight Breazeale in March /April, aj vs  pulev and uysk vs whyte for wbo mandatory. That’s my prediction based off a few sparing inquiries and conversations . Time will tell

Thanks for the update, markk. This is all wrong if it's true. This also leaves Fury out of the mix. Why did Wilder/Fury break down? And AJ/Whyte? Those are the two fights everyone wants to see. Any progress on Fa's next fight???

just what i have heard. may be wrong and this is a funny game .  sounds like fury wilder at end of 2019. so he has to face mandatory for wbc sooner. for us its all about these fights becoming clear then our fights become clear. so a bit of waiting game for a few weeks. it may take a bit longer than was talked about before for our "big fight" regardless of this taking a few extra months we will be around march in states for next junior fight. may even have a look at flores as a yard stick while we negotiate the bigger fight
