Jamieson, not sure what your issue is with fight news rankings. It's a composite of all the alphabets. Sure, there's a few that I would move around, but the key fighters are there. I'm talking heavyweights. http://www.fightnews.com/rankings-2
I don't think anyone thought Tupou was credible. Did anyone think he'd make it past halfway? The only reason I thought the fight made sense was to build a bit of a following/ rivalry with the trans-tasman clash, such as the Meehan fight does. On the world scene it's not relevant.
Cornish was 21-0 although unproven, Whyte is 16-0 and holds an amateur victory over Joshua. Parker has yet to face an unbeaten opponent.
Their rankings are terrible. I answered in another thread. Cunningham, Teper not in the top 16? Joshua at 7? Ruiz 8?
