Meehan, Leapai, and Ustinov are fights he needs to avoid, despite their entertainment value. As Dannyboy said, "suppose Parker lost badly." These are fights he could lose badly, to fighters not in the top 20. If you're taking a risk, risk it with a high reward, such as a fighter in the top 10, or even 5. There are several fighters there that could be better match-ups for him than the three above.
How about these guys in the WBO where Parker is ranked #8. Not Fury of course, as he'll have a date with Klit soon. But the other 4?
1.Tyson Fury
2. Charles Martin
3. Andy Ruiz
4. Francesco Pianeta
5. Vyacheslav Glazkov
If you saw the Glazkov "victories" over Cunningham, Rossy and Scott (all recorded more jabs and power punches than Glazkov), you would steer well clear of him. Glazkov is the mandatory for IBF, so Parker is a long way away anyway
Charles Martin for sure - he's only fought bums, but he won't fight anyone as risky as Parker while he's got that ridiculous ranking from the WBO and IBF.
Andy Ruiz has good hand speed, and has also had a "helpful" decision in his last fight, so I'd avoid him
Pianeta is challenging for a "title", so unless he loses badly, he won't go near Parker.
Tyson Fury - you're kidding right?
