How much extra time has Ruiz had to work purely on losing weight and getting his fitness up to scratch as opposed to Parker?
I'm going with my gut feeling and picking a late stoppage, round 9 or later.
Ruiz has been training and losing weight for 6.5 weeks. I know with Tua, he spent a lot of time in camp trying to lose his weight, and KB was frustrated that he didn't get to focus on his training as much. Ruiz has NOT fought tough competition, which is why I think he'll be surprised by Parker's power.
The first power punch Joe lands will speak volumes, and probably decide the fight. If that causes Ruiz to start backpeddling...it'll be all over quickly.
That's how I see it going. Everytime Ruiz gets close he gets slammed with the right hand. He keeps coming. In the middle rounds, he stops coming. Parker finishes him. I think Parker has him by about 4 inches. Ruiz is closer to 6 foot rather than 6'2".

I hope thats the case, but Parker's still there to hit - even if you're a slow plodder like Hauamono. I don't see Ruiz having too many problems getting his punches in.

Ruiz isn't a big enough puncher to trouble parker IMHO
Yes parker is there to be hit, and yes he has been visibly hurt in fights, he's not David Tua in the chin department and he will hit the deck in his career.
However ruiz went 12 with the ghost of liakovich and 12 against zumbano love (who joshua flattened in 2 rounds)
He is not an elite puncher.
Neither was Takam and I see spells of this fight possibly going the same with Parker on the ropes ready to be taken but ruiz not being able to finish him off.
Parkers real test will come against an elite puncher, Haye, Joshua, Klitschko, Ortiz, Wilder.
I'd pick all of them to stop parker but I feel he can beat any other (active) heavyweight on a good night.

New prediction. JP by KO inside 6 rounds and we all down-grade Ruiz to below Takam.

I'm thinking the same. I just don't rate Ruiz that highly until he shows me something different than in his previous fights.
Sham is for Parker, but likes to talk about how bad he is. Sham loves AJ and Klit. For an Irishman, he sure does love the UK fighters.
