I'm disappointed public opinion has been seen to sway the ATEED decision. Duco may be considered a joke to a few people, but in reality they have more than boxing on their plate. The Nines has been huge for Auckland, and you can't say that the WBO fight won't help tourism....part of the agreement must have been ads showcasing Auckland scenery.
It's the first time that we have had the opportunity to fight for a world title (regardless of the ABC) in NZ, and it seems that there are forces trying to stop Duco from achieving that at every hurdle. Disappointing for the boxing in NZ, and showcases the same to the world.
