It looks like a cash out to me.

If Takam was serious about contending, he would have done everything possible to avoid coming here, after the SBW-Botha fiasco and various other shadiness, he's basically saying i'm just in it for the money at this stage.

quite sad

Your probably right but he might just think Parkers a bit over rated and untested. At 35 though, I reckon your right.

Nah, with his ranking, and what he did against Povetkin, I think he decided that the money was really good, and he felt he could beat Parker no matter where they fought.

Let's hope so, I will be going. Hopefully the undercard is good with not too many 'joke' bouts. I guess it'll be the trusts arena or manakau bowl but as someone mentioned earlier, the vector arena in town would be great.

I'm fully expecting Art Green vs Jessie Ryder and D.J Forbes vs martin Guptill

88k buys is a lot more than 88k people! It's not like every PPV buyer was sitting at home watching by themselves with a six pack.

Craigy you'll be thrilled to know Buttabean is fighting a 50 year old from ChCh named Dick Freeman on the undercard Smile

Where did you read that? I hope not, they have a chance to put on a bit of show here. Boxers from all over will want to showcase there skills on the show. I hope the buttabean clown doesn't get a slot, being duco and there love affair with the clown he'll probably get a spot. Are the NZ non boxing public still interested in this nonity? Surely not.

It seems interest is waning but still popular enough. I've seen it on Facebook over a long period of chat, then confirmed by the opponent last week

I looked up this Freeman guy on Facebook and on his profile he says he wants to 'fight' the clown in Christchurch, so there not gonna fight til June - phew (although it still means he'll probably fight another farmer or factory worker in Auckland). Freeman reckons he's on a card in Christchurch turning pro, topping the bill with Bowyn Morgan, April 29.

The interest in Butterbean is definitely declining to me he doesn't seem that interested in fighting anymore he's more interested in motivating people to lose weight which is really good . I admire the guy for what he's doing outside of the ring.
