Sup brethren, been awhile between drinks. Good to see the banter is strong! I think Ustinov makes sense, and will sell like crazy down here and gain more credit. KB said if that fight fell through, a 18-0 6'7 opponent, Im going Hughie Fury. Hes 18-0 standing 6'6. Following that logic of Ustinov, 7 WBA, then a top5 for mandatory in the same alphabet.. Briggs/Oquendo?? Then setup up for Chagaev or NZ OZ showdown with Lucas Browne for WBA strap. Im that excited im typing on a keyboard!!! Many paths now being rated across the board.

They wouldn't throw Hughie Fury at Parker, the British boxing crowd pamper their fighters early on, and only offer up people like Chisora, Price, Harrison to the wolves.
I'm still picking Ustinov as 1st pick with backup being Matteo Modugno- http://boxrec.com/boxer/531388.
Fingers crossed it's Ustinov as Modugno looks like a European equivalent of Daniel Martz.

Welcome back, Rusty! Yeah, Modugno fits the bill. And yes, I don't see this as Parker's sternest test yet as he does seem like a Martz. Charles Martin, ranked #2, faces an undefeated fighter in Breazeale this weekend. Breazeale can fight. I hope he causes an upset.

Thanks Kiwi I was just reading this via another forum. I missed reading this a year ago, but it'make perfect sense that April is probably definitely maybe should be Ustinov. Let's hope so.

My only reservation about it being Ustinov is that he's ranked #7 in the WBA. Lonergan was targeting the WBC, WBO, and IBF for the mandatory in July, not the WBA. Does it matter? I don't know. All these alphabets cross fertilize.

I don't think it matters.
Easiest Top-10 fight to make.
Just sign the papers and get ready to rumble.

Modugno would be less than ideal. Plodding big man ranked 124 (Martz was 125)
Brezeale looked terrible in his last fight against Kassi. A lot of people thought Kassi won. I had it a draw and one judge didn't even give Kassi a single round. Worst scorecard I'd seen in a while. Martin hasn't fought anyone though.
Ustinov has said no before.
I hope JP gets some ranked fighters next year, but if no one wants to fight him, it's going to be difficult

Obviously, they're either not offering enough money, New Zealand is seen as too far away, people are genuinley scared of JP, or a bit of all three...
