'Game plan might not be as obvious as everyone thinks'
Hmmm attacking with power shots from round 1 maybe- put doubt early in Zhangs mind
History here but Ali and Cus D'Aamto were good friends ,before Ali fought Foreman in Zaire Cus advised Ali to hit Foreman straight away with hard straight rights to confuse and disorientate him, if you watch the fight Ali did do this and Foreman was shocked.
Maybe this is the track Lee is going down

And we all know that straight rights are the way to go with southpaws. But, JP throws looping right hands vs straight right hands. Nothing he can't learn.
Good history lesson, bart. But, Ali realised that he couldn't keep throwing power shots at Foreman, so he did his rope-a-dope to tire out Foreman.
I don't think JP should trade shots with ZZ early. But, he should tagged him with that right hand to keep ZZ guessing and off balance early. Don't let him set in the pocket.

Absoulety don't let him set and keep him off balance all night if possible .

I like it.

Don't know if that is the plan - but it would build on Parker's approach to Wilder.

Anything that keeps Zhang off balance is good with me.

Wilder was a mover, so JP had to time it when he crossed his feet and then attack. ZZ is a very different beast. He needs to either beat ZZ to the punch before he sets, or time him when he comes forward and not wait until he gets trapped on the ropes. With JJ he waited too long to punch. Against JJ, JJ had a chin. ZZ has a good chin too. So it's not a matter of trying to KO him as much as ZZ never being sure when JP will attack. Hrgovic did this to perfection most of the time when he was winning rounds.

Seems to me ZZ is a bit distracted. He appears unbeatable, but I thought the same thing about JJ and looked what happened to him. Before ZZ fought JJ, he wasn't a big deal.
