Joseph Parker
Usyk is to small lads. He's is just to small at 190cm and 190lbs. I think AJ and Wilder walk through him. Whyte and Parker I'd tip to beat him if they come in fit. But hey it makes the division more interesting.

Saw the Usyk/Bellew fight and Usyk did look good. So what? How good is he really? Bellew is no superstar boxer. Why all the excitement about him?

Really? He walks around at about 215 come fight night so I would expect him to fight at about 225-230 at HW. He'd school Parker and Whyte but could be punished against the big guns if he continues to start fights slowly like he does. He usually gives away the first 2-3 rounds of fights which I don't know if that's the best thing to do against the bigger hitters but he's certainly a player in the division and has a massive engine.

Yeah i don't think he will have an issue with weight, probably will welcome not having to melt for fights.
Not sure about his height? which again probably doesn't affect v JP-Whyte and Povetkin types but the mega heavies it may cause him issues, much like 90% of the division I suppose

Usyks style is not suited for heavyweight

he doesnt move around much and prefers to counter from the pocket, at heavyweight i don't see him having the power to be succesful doing that against the elite.

Bellew sucks, he'd be a one round job for the likes of AJ and wilder, yet usyk managed to get into a fight with him.

Usyk doesn't look drained at all at 200lbs

Compare that to david haye who was absoloutley ripped to shreds and dry as a bone at 200lbs

Yet hayes best weight at heavyweight was around 218lbs

Usyk will be carrying excess fat if he comes in at 230

It will be interesting to see that's for sure. I might be going a bit overboard with 230 as he may lose a bit of his speed and movement coming in that heavy so maybe 220-225 max.

I rate the guy very highly but would like to see him in with guys that can hit hard to begin with just to get used to the power of the guys in the HW division. Guys like Price/Helenius would fit the bill as they're tall and would pose a threat for a few rounds before getting beaten eventually. Hopefully the rumours aren't true about facing Lebedev.

It's so tricky for JP right now.
Usyk is batshit crazy. He is one incredibly skilled, fit, fast and determined MF.
He made plenty of big guys look stupid at amateur level.

Would be good to see Usyk vs Ortiz or Povetkin. Old Ortiz is a beast - I wouldn't put JP in with him as a match maker.
Old Pov is skilled. JP would likely struggle.

If Parker mans up and takes a fight with any of those 3, it means he's serious, but I would be worried he could lose any of those fights, without much reward.

If he goes the back door with old Chisora, fair enough. Would be hugely disappointed if JP lost to him.

I think Parker could beat usyk.

He won't have anything to worry about with usyks power, and usyk isn't actually all that fleet of foot.

Parker has tremendous handspeed, he's way quicker than bellew in that regard.

I think if Parker came in with the right attitude, warmed up to a sweat and going straight at usyk as soon as the first bell rings fighting at a high pace, he could stop him.

Warrington against frampton did what so many fighters should do, but don't. He didn't get into a boxing match with him, he didn't give him time to settle in he just went straight at him and dragged him into war immediately. Parker needs to start doing that against opponents who can't hurt him back.

Great comment, Inferno

Totally agree

A great tactic for JP to use a lot more
