Hearn poised to announce Canelo vs BJS
Promoter Eddie Hearn says WBO super middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders will likely be on hand when Canelo Alvarez defends his WBC and WBA super middleweight titles against Avni Yildirim at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida on February 27. If Canelo wins as expected, a Canelo-Saunders unification fight may be announced that night.
Hearn expects a crowd of about 15,000 socially distanced fans to be allowed to attend the fight card at the Miami Dolphins home stadium.

Canelo destroys Yildirim in three
WBA/WBC super middleweight champion Saul Alvarez (55-1-2, 37 KOs) easily annihilated WBC mandatory challenger Avni Yildirim (21-3, 12 KOs) on Saturday night at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. Canelo dominated every moment of every round. He dropped Yildirim with a huge right hand in round three, then pummeled Yildirim until the bell. Yildirim quit after round three.
Promoter Eddie Hearn announced that Canelo will face WBO champion Billy Joe Saunders on May 8.

What a mismatch
At least Billy Joe won't let himself be hit from round 1. Canelo will have to search for him and use some energy doing so.
He will catch him though and BJS better hope he can take that power its insane.

Did you see the fight, bart? Yildirim should forfeit his money, as he threw nothing and quit on his stool uninjured. Maybe ten punches in three rounds? Pitiful. Tell kiwi that it was a worse fight than last nite. Never seen a fighter like Canelo who telegraphs nothing and the punches come from nowhere in bunches. Parker/Canelo would be a good match-up, and I think Canelo beats him every day of the week.

mate i agree Canelos power was crazy and he didn't waste any shots...not that hard against a guy who stood still with the same guard constantly.
Maybe he was hurt with the first body shot?? Took his soul then and he couldn't respond.
his corner were offering him 1 more round but he didn't seem too excited
