It's just that TT has more power than Bergman, a longer reach, and can fight better with better skills. It would have been a big risk against TT in that fight. Now, they're all risks as Joe goes for the title.

Just announced there will be a delay and they won't be announcing his opponent today...contract issues apparently.

IF AJ fights Martin, and wins, Parker vs AJ makes sense, even in the UK, since he'll have a belt.

That article spoke of Joshua Parker....the bloody "journalist" didn't even pick up that the IBF still has a name mixup on their website...

I reckon if AJ does fight Martin and beats him, Haye or Fury next would make more sense.

If AJ beats Martin I can't see him pushing too far quickly for experience sake, I would expect he might see the Parker fight as an option.

If AJ fights and beats Martin, I'd fight Wilder or Fury/Klit next. Unify. Why mess with Parker?

Joshua has been saying he is still developing and wants to get more experience before he fights the big boys like Fury, Wilder and Haye, if you look at Martin's record he's still pretty much a prospect himself and was very lucky to get his title.

This is an even playing field type scenario where Martin is barely if at all more experienced than AJ. AJ pretty much said the only reason he may not take the fight is because if he wins there will be less room for development, as he will now be expected to fight at a higher level. Hearn has told Team Joshua to not worry about the future, just worry about whether they think they can beat Martin. If they think AJ can and will win, then they might as well take it and Hearn will sort the rest out.

This makes me think Hearn will protect AJ from the big boys until he's ready for them.
