Heavyweight Division
I haven't seen anything from Hygovic that suggests to me that he has anything to trouble Usyk.

Nah, he doesn't, and he'll have to wait for Usyk/Fury. Maybe. Otherwise, let him fight Usyk and then get rid of him. Bart, how do you rate Usyk? I think even JP could give him a go. Probably lose, but competitive. Wilder would KO him.

He's dreamin'.

I rate Usyk highly Die- he is scientist in the ring- his power is also underrated as he only chooses when to sit down on his punches when he has his opponent exactly where he wants him.
JP would most likely last the 12 but lose a wide decision- Wilder always has that KO chance but would / could gas out trying.
Fury would need to be as fit as he has ever been to fight him and I question whether Fury wants to go to that dark place again as the Wilder Trilogy took a lot out of him and he hasn't looked for a decent challenge since.
If Usyk keeps fighting he will take a loss at some stage but it won't be size that defeats him- it will be himself slowing down but I don't think he will go on much longer.
My interest now goes to the next big HW non-title clash.. Zhang V JJ 2 - two massive giants and only one will be left standing. This will be carnage

I'm more of the similar opinion to you about Usyk, Die

Theres a hysteria surrounding Usyk, he's a good fighter, very good but he's not this defensive genius people claim.

Bellew landed a good amount on him, so did Bredis, so did hunter, Chisora gave him a hard time, AJ smashed his face up in the first fight with very few landed shots, Dubois had some success in there.

The guy is not Floyd mayweather.

Additionalky, on yesterday's fight. I almost didn't bother watching it, I only did because my plans fell through so I was at home.

Dubois got damaged by Joyce, and in his very last fight he almost quit against Kevin Larena who is a domestic level south African cruiserweight. Dubois isn't an elite heavyweight at all.

I expected a total domination by Usyk, glorified sparring, I didn't expect fairly close rounds, Usyk moaning to the referee, Dubois touching him, and Usyk only getting brave when Dubois inevitably gassed in the final third. To me, it was a poor performance.

That last night was like Floyd Mayweather beating Robert Guerrero, although tbh Guerrero was a better fighter than Dubois.

Floyd got criticised for even fighting guys like Guerrero, yet when Usyk beats Dubois the reaction is fawning, it's odd.

One final thing, if Wilder or Fury fought Dubois, and said "I'm going to come forward from the first bell, stick it on him and end the fight in one round, would you bet against either of them doing it? I wouldn't.

Perspective, the furore around Usyk is almost cult like imo.

A bit like you and a lot of others falling for Eddie Hearn's spin on how great AJ was back in the day. Usyk carved him up twice.

Fury keeps running from Usyk which is understandable after he barely scraped past Otto Wallin who is levels below Usyk.

And Wilder, yes, the same Wilder that had problems with Artir Szpilka of all people is gonna beat Usyk? Come on guys, lets not be silly now haha.

Usyk is levels above those southpaws who Wilder and Fury had massive problems with.

Usyk is a bit like his coutryman, Lomo. Excellent fighter, but can be beaten on the day. Except Lomo isn't going up a weight division. Wilder is at DDD's level on boxing skills. Except if Wilder hit Usyk, lights out.

I think Fury/Usyk is a snoozer. Now JJ/Zhang? As bart says, that's a fight.

Def Fury v Usyk has the potential to be an ATG snoozefest- much like Fury v Wlad
2 technicians' trying to cancel each other out- no ying and yang styles make fights there.
But it still needs to happen to establish an undisputed champion for a small period of time (they can only be short lived)

Negotiations are going to make Usyk vs Fury very difficult.

Fury rightfully wanting the lions share of the purse but also won't go to fight Usyk in Saudi on a skills challenge card with the likes of Luis Pabon reffing, Fury's game will be roughing Usyk up on the inside and they will want to guarentee a ref that let's things go.

This is a fight that I think is balanced enough the ref may decide the winner, if it's Steve smoger fury wins, if it's the Italian fella from AJ/Parker Usyk wins.

Only way I see the fight happening is if Usyk accepts 70/30 to fight in London on a Queensbury promotion and I just don't see Usyks team aggreing to that.

Take the fight already, Usyk. Whoop his ass, and then demand the split in reverse. Or lose to Fury, and be glad you got the biggest paycheck of your career.
