Lerena doesn't have enough power to be a threat in the division. I expect Dubois to walk through him after Lerena gives him a few troubles early on.

I suppose thats all they want from an opponent for DD his first defense of his bogus belt that means sweet FA

In a bout reduced from ten to eight rounds, 38-year-old heavyweight Robert Simms (12-3-1, 3 KOs) ended the unbeaten run of Kenzie Morrison (20-1-2, 18 KOs), son of former heavyweight champion Tommy “The Duke” Morrison, in a “Sons of Legends” card on Saturday night at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas.

Simms, appearing to be quite overweight, showed good defense, a good jab and a great chin. Morrison landed his share of shots, but Sims’ skills largely frustrated him. Scores were 78-74 3x. Sims claimed the USNBC belt.

DDD has beaten nobody. Nobody. He did beat Dinu, but so did Lerena. Oh, he did beat Trevor Bryan for the belt. A nobody.

Hmmm maybe I'm not convinced
Maybe the 2 parties feel its needs AJ to have a win or 2 to make it a mega sell- right now it sells but seen as 80/20 a Fury win
AJ knocks out 2 stiffs and the casuals will say its 50/50 and it bankrolls
Or Eddie thinks another loss is the end and he needs to milk the AJ cow at least until the DAZN contract is nearly up.
My doubts are because Fury and Warren are liars and con men always have been always will be.
And ignore John Fury - just ignore

I do think Fury/Usyk will fight. I'd love for a Wilder/AJ fight, with the winners fighting each other. Of course, JJ deserves to fight the winner more than AJ, who has lost twice to Usyk. Interesting times. Throw Ruiz in the mix and we have some interesting match-ups if they come to fruition.
