Hughie Fury set for July 8 tuneup
Undefeated Heavyweight Hughie Fury will return to the ring on promoter Frank Warren’s July 8th Copper Box Arena card in London. The younger cousin of former Unified World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury was due to challenge WBO Heavyweight Champion Joseph Parker for his belt last month in New Zealand but was forced to postpone when he injured his back.
“I can’t wait to get back under the lights and do what I do best,” said Fury. “I was disappointed to miss out my shot against Parker but this is boxing and injuries happen all of the time. I will get my shot at the WBO Heavyweight belt later this year and follow in the footsteps of Tyson.”
Peter Fury said: “Hughie has recovered from the back injury that kept him out of his World title fight with Parker and he is itching to get back in the ring next month. We are treating this fight as a warm-up to the big one later this year. The division is certainly opening up with plenty of opportunities and we are confident that Hughie is going to figure dominantly for years to come.”
Promoter Frank Warren said: “Hughie is one of the best and most exciting young Heavyweight prospects in the World and I’m delighted to add him to our stacked July 8 Copper Box Arena card. He needs to get this warm-up fight out of the way before he faces Parker later in the year. I am confident that the WBO Heavyweight belt will once again be in possession of the Fury family come the end of the year.”

Deontay Wilder Erupts, Tears Apart Hearn and Whyte Over Offer
A few days ago, promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport had revealed that he sent over a very large offer to WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (38-0, 37 KOs) for a potential fight with Dillian Whyte (20-1, 15 KOs).
Whyte has been out of the ring since December 2016, after winning a very close Fight of The Year battle with domestic rival Dereck Chisora.
Wilder was in action back in February, when he knocked out late replacement Gerald Washington.
Wilder was insulted by the fact that Hearn added "terms" to his offer for a showdown.
Wilder did not reveal what those exact terms were, but he took to social media to sound off on both the British promoter and his fighter.
"Eddie Hearn, bro let's not play around here. We both know who I want from England. You told me a while back at the WBC convention that your main man was next remember? So why have you been trying to throw your cockroaches in with me. First it was Bellew and now it's your dirty c*nt Dillian Whyte... man come on. I tell you what... Make that offer of 3 million into 7 million and on OUR terms. Oh it's going to cost you to change my plans of what we about to do up and NO it's not on YOUR terms. How you go come with a offer of 3 million and want things on your terms too? The last time I checked I was the damn CHAMP!," Wilder stated.
"When I beat the horse sh*t out your stray doggy, (Animal Farm) I'm AGAIN not going to GAIN any credit or anything from anybody for beating his ass whatsoever; After this beat down from TTown, they will call him a bum too let's face it and the world knows this. Fans really just want to see me back in the ring that's why they entertaining this bullsh*t. Dillian Whyte is a crush dummy at best, he's designed to well you know..... f***ing crash.

Wilder is a coward.
Dillian whyte isnt brilliant but he's tough, he's messy and hes a handful.
That is too much for wilder, so instead of taking the biggest payday he's ever had, hes demanding more than double which he knows hearn wont pay.
Expect him to announce another bum soon and talk about how everyones ducking him

Povetkin looks sharp in workout
Former WBA Heavyweight Champion Alexander Povetkin (31-1, 23 KOs) and opponent Andriy Rudenko (31-2, 19 KOs) worked out for the media today in Moscow, Russia ahead of their showdown this Sunday, July 1 at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
The bout is being contested for the WBO International Heavyweight Title and the WBA Inter-Continental Heavyweight Title. BoxNation will televise in the UK.

Povetkin wins UD over Rudenko
Former WBA heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin (32-1, 23 KOs) scored a twelve round unanimous decision over Andriy Rudenko (31-3, 19 KOs), on Saturday night at Luzhniki Concert Hall in Moscow, Russia. After some rough housing in a round one clinch, there was a long delay when Rudenko claimed to be injured from a rabbit punch. With no DQ forthcoming, the fight continued and went the full twelve with Povetkin winning 120-109, 120-108, 120-108. Povetkin earned the vacant WBA Inter-Continental and WBO International heavyweight titles.
