Thought that would be the case. I'm a fan of Joe's but he does deserve criticism if this fight does go ahead as he will learn absolutely nothing from it. If it were Wilder we wouldn't hear the end of it.

Well said.  I'm all for supporting 'your' guy but there are occasions when criticism is deserved.  And probably not even at Parker himself, but the people who manage him.  Conjanu, H.Fury, and Fujimoto...

Conjanu and Fury took nothing out of Parker.  He barely got out of 2nd gear in both fights.  Now would be the time to step it up, but he's taking a step back with Fujimoto.

Personally I can't blame them for Cojanu as it was a very late replacement and there wasn't anyone really out there who would travel halfway round the world on 2 weeks notice but yeah, this fight is unacceptable if it does happen.

I don't either.  I don't blame them for Fury too, as he was a mando.  But they were comfortable fights where Parker was big favourite.  I'd be suprised if he took 50 solid punches in both fights combined.  You'd hope that his team would be looking at a bigger opponent, not just a quick cash grab.

Yes I would like to see him in with Whyte next but it looks like he's going down the WBC route so maybe the Haye v Bellew winner would be more realistic. Bob Arum keeps mentioning Bryant Jennnings which wouldn't be the worst fight to make, but personally, I'd rather see him continue to establish himself in the UK.

RE: Joseph Parker - tm7 - 10-20-2017

Jennings has a fight scheduled in December already against someone I've never heard of.

RE: Joseph Parker - Infern0 - 10-20-2017

Big Baby Millar would be a good option, a real loudmouth to stir up some interest. Parker is a quiet guy and duco arent good at PROMOTING so he needs someone to stir up real interest

RE: Joseph Parker - bart - 10-20-2017

Won't be miller he won't travel and risk/reward not good enough
I believe it will be Fujimoto as very winnable for good coin and exposure in asia
Its not what I want to see its what I believe we will see
No point fighting in NZ again - most decent fighters seem to be booked out

Big Baby is fighting Marius Wach mid November, nearly all of the top heavyweights are tied up with fights in the next two months. Except for Ortiz of courseSmile

Some good exposure in asia (the hotbed of heavyweight boxing), thatll do his career wonders.... Lets be honest about this, if he fights the japanese fella its about money and the fact duco are worried about him losing his title before an even bigger payday.
