Boxing is about getting towards the big payday... in every division - nothing new or secret about it
Titles are great... because they provide more leverage in negotiations.
Who in their right mind would sacrifice their earning potential to fight top contenders for limited reward.
These same people that call for JP to fight the biggest guns now would be those first on here to say he's a bum if he lost.
Dammed if u do...
They are currently making informed intelligent decisions re matchmaking
The only worry is perhaps the coaching has gone stale and needs some outside input/ideas

Would love for Parker to fight Whyte or Miller purely from a spectator's standpoint. Huge fireworks. Would not be like the Hughie fight. Schwartz is being protected, and only fights in Germany. I'm sure Breazeale would fight Joe, and that would be fireworks. Don't know much about Hammer. I'd stay away from Povetkin. Not a good match-up, and then there's the steroid issue. Fujimoto would be a good fight, if only for Joe to work on his deficiencies.
Some really good fights out there. But forget Joe for a second. I want to see AJ/Wilder. Both have been champs for awhile, and need to unify their alphabets.

anyone that has the balls to get in the squared circle gets my respect, unless you throw fights that is. so no, JP losing doesnt mean hes a bum.
Its all good if its about getting paid, at the end of the day its his job. what is being said is something totally different though.

Its very easy (and weak) to label someone a troll over the internet purely for having a different opinion to the majority, this is a great little forum but the almost worship like support for Parker is a bit much. Theres support and following someone and then theres, well, blindness.,.. No i wouldnt be happy with the number 8 (how did he get there?) Japanese fella!That in my eyes would be yet another kop out and weak defense that means and proves nothing.

Craig, please post often, whether people agree or disagree. Discussion is good. Nah, fighting Fijimoto is not a copout, just an easy defense, one he deserves after facing his mandatory. After that will come the Haye/Bellew winner, which might end up being a mandatory by the WBO. If Haye wins, it's no easy fight, unless he's shot. Bellew is relatively easy. Then we have the AJ/Wilder winner. To me, it's not a bad three fight plan.
Don't know if there is "almost" hero worship for Parker. I for one recognise his weaknesses, and have called for a swift correction or changing trainers. I also said he was horrible against Fury.
