This sounded odd for Rapira to be back at a new weight against a guy like this but then I checked boxrec. He's 38 and some of his 15 losses are to guys I've never heard of but I like Sam so good luck to him.

Apart from the four fights he has lost I can't remember anyone else laying a glove on him. Has only been stopped by Reece Papuni and Ryan Ford.
Berridge and Powdrill didn't inflict much damage did they?
I take your point but because we have so few active fighters in NZ any extra addition is a bonus unless they are really well passed it.

A friend of mine who knows him well told me this. I saw the Ford fight. He really got beat up. Sam thought he was out-classed. He really wasn't. It was more that Ford's punches hurt Sam, but not the other way around.
