I'd pick Fa on this quite comfortably based on his height, reach and superior amateur background. It'll be an explosive fight either way if they want to make it a brawl. be a great fight but the boys are training partners and sparing partners. same coach as well. the worlds a big place and if we manage and match them well so they can develope hopefully we can have 3 heavys on the world stage in the next 2-3 years. Any idea when Ahio will be back in the ring? RE: Professional Boxing in NZ - justafan - 04-03-2016 Is that the end of James Langton Die? I've heard some people say he was lucky to get the decision in the Joshua Tai fight but have not seen it with my own eyes. Seems he's been below his best in his last three fights? Maybe the hunger isn't there or age catching up with him? Either way he's been a great story and wish him the best, the sport is better off for him being involved. RE: Professional Boxing in NZ - craigyid14 - 04-04-2016 I didn't realise it was Junior Fa's brother who beat him. RE: Professional Boxing in NZ - diehard - 04-04-2016 Nah, justafan, I was there at the Joshua Tai fight, and James won, but it was pretty close. An ugly fight, with Tai controlling the distance, holding, etc. James is looking to fight again in Opunake in June (up the road from me) and overseas. The last two fights he promoted in Hawera and Opunake sold out, so I doubt if he's retiring. I didn't see the Fa fight. I see that it was a MD, so it must have been close. Anyone see the fight and can comment on how Rapira and Langton did? They take turns promoting each other's fights. |
