RE: Professional Boxing in NZ - justafan - 03-27-2019 I hope you're sitting down Craigy.... Yeah not a bad matchup. Hemi will win, but Long will make it awkward and having Hemi in with big guys is only a good thing. I can see it being awkward and ugly and not much of a spectacle. Hopefully Hemi stops him as a UD could be painful to watch RE: Professional Boxing in NZ - diehard - 03-29-2019 https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/combat-sports/111620373/womens-wbo-world-lightheavyweight-title-fight--all-you-need-to-know RE: Professional Boxing in NZ - justafan - 04-11-2019 C'mon Die, I thought you'd have enough clout to get this sorted by now? Please tell me this a clever ploy to sell tickets to his upcoming fight and he's not actually for real? If it is I think it's brilliant. If he's serious... I don't know what to say Champion Taranaki boxer threatens street protest if sport honours board bid snubbed https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/111942060/champion-taranaki-boxer-threatens-street-protest-if-sport-honours-board-bid-snubbed?%3Fcid=facebook.post&cid=facebook.post&fbclid=IwAR2TG0lfQMa5VQIn2oK6pG02O_CWaLGAfYkRU_GQ97GV4lhAMqwFJa4SQaI RE: Professional Boxing in NZ - justafan - 04-11-2019 Maybe the last tow lines answer my question RE: Professional Boxing in NZ - diehard - 04-11-2019 (04-11-2019, 08:10 PM)justafan Wrote: C'mon Die, I thought you'd have enough clout to get this sorted by now? I don't know what to say I used to work out where he wants his picture on the wall. This has been an ongoing fight, with the Trust stating that he hasn't won anything internationally, so they have told him no. Weirdly, James is from Opunake, whereas some of the others are from the surrounding area. Very sad. I know the people on the Trust Board, and James. I can see both their points of view. Neither party willing to give in. My feeling is, what's the big deal. Give James some recognition. Has nothing to do with selling tickets. James is the ambassador to the "Little Fighters," a charity that helps children with terminal illness. Through donations collected, much of it at auctions at his fights, they have saved some lives. |
