RE: Parker vs Whyte - Kiwi - 07-29-2018

STAMINA is Joe's problem. Always has been. As a Kiwi I have watched Parker for a long time and now I suddenly see. Even against AJ you can see he faded after Rnd 6.

Stamina was the big problem - not other things.

So when he hangs around waiting for the "other guy to tire" he always gets in trouble.

When much lighter he might do better.

But right now he should retire. Got the money. Get out now.

Well where does he go from here? I wouldn't retire and I doubt he will but it's a long, long way back for him now. He's virtually in the same category as Takam/Chisora now. Looks like he'll have to start again with low level journeymen but I'd go as far as to say that he is done at the top level and is in gatekeeper territory now.

RE: Parker vs Whyte - bart - 07-29-2018

I think the 12th round has saved him from total failure - he can still rebuild now ...if he wants it
When he boxed he looked good but Whtye bullied him drained him physically and mentally- fantastic tactics to get win.
Where is Joes Fitness?? Fitness could have won him that bout from round 7 on
I would fancy a rematch if whyte can't secure a title fight.
I think UK public would buy that again with another good undercard

I think Whyte would be mad to agree to a rematch not that it'll happen in the near future. Whyte should just wait for AJ now he's earnt a rematch. Would like to see him and Wilder go at it but Wilder isn't interested in that (even though I think Wilder hammers him).

RE: Parker vs Whyte - bopman - 07-29-2018

Parkers fitness has been av since the Takam fight, he gassed there too. I think na total change up after some time off. He needs to be explosive again and I can see try just don't train that way.

RE: Parker vs Whyte - bart - 07-29-2018

true re Whyte I don't think he would want rematch although didn't think he would want fight in the 1st place being where he is sitting rankings wise
It could only be possible if he can't get a shot or is made to wait 12-18mths etc
Financially could be a good repeat earner be nice to be 1-1 (for JP) not Dillian
Parker needs a change - trainer a motivator....otherwise retire

Change trainer, go somewhere new, fresh surroundings, learn new things, get a bit of love for the sport back.

Exactly, he is in a bit of a routine rut and gone a bit stale. Barry really is a control freak . its sad cause parker could be so much better. How are they tracking fitness? He mustn't do any testing.

RE: Parker vs Whyte - Kiwi - 07-29-2018

He has $ millions and his health.

No more bangs to the head

Retire

RE: Parker vs Whyte - bart - 07-29-2018

Kiwi that is def a option, depends what he wants (and those around him)
Hopefully his $$ is safe and invested well
Is he dogged enough to go back start again - invest in a new trainer new outlook
