RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - tm7 - 03-28-2017 I can only see two options, Parker by KO or Hughie on points. Hughie is a better boxer but has no power, Parker gets hit a lot but has KO power. RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - NakiFan - 03-28-2017 I still don't get the whole "Parker gets hit alot" argument. If you slow down the footage of the Takam and Ruiz fights for example...most of those shots are glancing blows. Hardly hitting Parker. Very very few flush shots. Hence the lack of swelling on Parkers face after 2 fights of 12 rounds. While Parker has an ungainly manner avoiding shots, in the most part it works. RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - shamrock - 03-28-2017 Wilder, AJ and Klit might get his attention tho NakiFan Different strokes different blokes RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - diehard - 03-28-2017 As well as Ortiz and Tyson Fury, Sham. But Parker may also get their attention. RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - justafan - 03-29-2017 According to Taylor Barry on Twitter Umar Salamov of TEAM BARRY will be on the #ParkerFury undercard. Umar is 18-0 IBO light heavyweight World Champion RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - diehard - 03-30-2017 http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/other-sports/91003407/hughie-fury-believes-hes-too-smart-for-joseph-parker-as-wbo-title-fight-looms RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - diehard - 03-31-2017 Hughie Fury confident of victory against Joseph Parker By Ray Wheatley — World of Boxing WBO#2 heavyweight Hughie Fury (20-0, 10 KOs) is confident that he has the skills and experience training in boxing camps with his cousin Tyson Fury, to take the WBO heavyweight title from champion Joseph Parker (22-0, 18 KOs) on May 6 at the Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand despite Parker having the more impressive physique and weight advantage. “Parker is a big lump, well built, but that is not everything. They can have muscles on them as much as they want, but it means nothing. It’s all about skill and having a strong mind. Most of boxing is mental,” Fury said. “At the end of the day it’s two men in there. It’s last one standing and I believe I have the tools to beat him.” “I’ve just been quietly learning. I’m not interested in the limelight. I’m just interested in achieving my goals. I have been in the background, looking (at Tyson), studying everything and waiting for my time,” Fury said to iNEWS. “I have had my experience in camps, sparring when Tyson has been preparing for a world title. I have sparred the best in the world. That has been a good experience and the fights I have had have been against awkward opposition. They make you look bad but they bring you on. “When you fight undefeated people it’s better, there are more openings because they want to win. In that sense it can be easier RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - diehard - 03-31-2017 http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/other-sports/91069883/samoan-prime-minister-talks-up-hosting-joseph-parkers-world-title-fight RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - shamrock - 03-31-2017 No stone unturned to achieve advantage for Parker. They obviously consider he needs it. RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - NakiFan - 03-31-2017 They WON the purse bid. THESE little promoters called DUCO. They have the right to look at ALL possibilities when it comes to giving THEIR fighter the best location etc. Sounds like your confidence in the gypsy is waning. |
