Truth be told, Sham, Dimitrenko was on his way out anyway, having been knocked down several times with the end in sight. Joe just made sure with an accidental illegal shot, as you said. Probably should have ruled it a no contest.

As for kiwi, we wish him well when he leaves us, and welcome him back when he re-joins us.

Dimitrenko was looking for a way to quit and the shot was his way out. It was a massive hollywood

Thats a really good overview of the fight. It should be an intriguing watch. One I'll spend $50.00 on

Have you ever taken a shot in the ribs die? Can be truly immensely demorilizing. Unfortunately I have. Was out from the ring for 6 months

I have Sham. Hurt like a @#$%$@$. Had trouble breathing and sleeping for almost a month. It was only sparring, so I asked the guy why he hit me so hard. He said he doesn't hit hard to the face, just the body. I thought, damn, I should have hit him hard to the body if he thought like that. Never saw the punch. But don't you think it should have been a No Contest, Sham?

The shot I took die was during the contest, real bad injury. Parkers fight with dementriko should have been no contest. Ooops, sorry kiwi

RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - Kiwi - 03-13-2017

No problem. Really, when you look at it, that "afterthought" punch of Parker's had no weight behind it - nor did it change the deserved outcome.

I guess I get annoyed when NZers just never seem to "celebrate" our champs or their coaches properly. Always looking to tear them down. Look at Arthur Lydiard as a classic example.

'Tall Poppy Syndrome' is alive and well.

RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - Infern0 - 03-13-2017

I'm happy with what joe has done so far the thing that annoys me is when people get ahead of themselves. Lets be honest takam and ruiz jr are decent wins but there's a long way to go yet. Tua had many wins at that level and better ones besides.

I think the next 18 months will be the telling either way. But thats why i dont want joe to fight Bellew next after young fury.

Joshua v klitschko is two top 5 facing off, we need more of that less of these top 5 vs a top 20 type fights.

RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - shamrock - 03-13-2017

Too true inferno. That too is another side to the coin. What gets ya goat tho is posters like kiwi calling .' tall poppy syndrome.' because he can't be disagreed with. That shot dementriko took from parker had some biff in it, and while dementriko was down.could almost have been disqualified happened somewhere else. That's why these fights at home has been a blessing to Parker, the Ruiz fight may not have gone his way either. But dare it mentioned.

RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - diehard - 03-13-2017

Don't understand. Why don't you want Parker to fight Bellew? Too easy? So Haye thought. Regardless, he has an easier fight after his mandatory, fix his mistakes with Bellew, and then take on Wilder or AJ/Klit. Sounds reasonable to me. If Parker gets past Hughie, I don't think he'll be ready for the next level yet. Bellew will help him if he can continue to fix his mainly defensive mistakes.
