I know, I know, I be playin'. After that performance, can you blame me? One more of those and I'll have to give myself a warning! Apologies to one and all.

Great post fight interview with Joe, KB, Mr Higgins, and Cojanu. Loved it!

RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - Kiwi - 05-07-2017

It's not true to say Joe lacked speed. It is the one thing he does have that is truly elite.

Joe has had these type performances since Bergman. His power is not elite. His speed is.

And with it he may beat the top guys still.

JP hasn't much chance against the top guys imo. He did however have a win last night regardless of Cojanu s place in the top 15. A win is a win, JP is still WBO champ. To their team they are still in the game.. can he improve? miracles do happen.

He needs to make $$ thats what he needs to do
I for one admire the guy but also am realistic as far as his chances are v the Elite
I would hope he makes enough to see him sorted after boxing
And Duco don't have too much of a hold on him going forward

I agree Sham. this game is about winning. Razz didn't want to fight.  end of day people are vaunarable when they throw. raz didn't throw a thing!!

RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - diehard - 05-07-2017

He won 11 rounds on my scorecard. He lost the 11th round. Raz was there to survive. He's an idiot. If Parker's punches were not hurting him, then he needed to let his hands go. He coulda won the title. At least try. Clowning around and taunting is entertaining and fun I guess, but it didn't get him the win.

Kiwi, Parker has good speed, but I rate it above average RIGHT NOW. Certainly not Ali speed. Joe's speed allowed him to hit Cojanu, who's slow, but not blinding speed where Cojanu didn't know what to do. Weirdly, I thought he was faster in some of his other fights. I think his power and speed have declined. Maybe it's his injuries...

"Too much weights not enough speed work..." Jake the Muss

RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - diehard - 05-07-2017

Except the weights haven't helped his body. I don't know what he's doing at training, but it hasn't helped his power and speed. My guess is that he's over-training and carrying injuries. Joe said that in the Takam or Ruiz fight that his hurt elbow cost him some power.

RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - Westywarrior - 05-07-2017

Doing too much weights when you are training full time at another discipline it's easy to overtrain . Some weights is good but it's easy to overdo.
Maybe Joe trying a bit too hard to look like AJ. He needs to accept his genetics.
Joe looked better when he was lean and fast
