Agree entirely. To be honest i don't think Wilder or Parker makes it to the 5th/6th against KLITSCHKO let alone AJ. time for Wilder and Parker to step up and fight each other now, the guy who comes through that one has an argument until then they need to sit down and shut up because Joshua has picked up the torch and he's a distance in front of both now. RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - Justapakeha - 05-05-2017 If Parker and Wilder face off, and the winner gets obliterated vs Joshua, and if Klitschko retires. Who else apart from Fury could challenge Joshua? Ortiz is getting on and Pulev apparently looked woeful last time out. Would be a shame if Joshua reaches his prime age of 29,30 and there's no threats left. The only other person I could think that would make for an interesting match up would be if Usyk moved up in a couple of years to fight him. RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - U.K. Fight Fan - 05-05-2017 Pulev is average. Ortiz has passed his prime now imo. Like you said, Fury would be the one. Fully fit he's a horrible fight for anyone because no other heavyweight boxes like he does. Add to that, he's 6'9. Usyk would be interesting. His boxing ability is awesome, but at 6'3 and not a whole load of power I question whether he could beat the big guys. Plus he's already about 30 and I think he wants to unify cruiserweight. By the time he's done that then god knows what age he'll be - he could have slowed right down. There are some big potential fights for AJ, but your guess is as good as mine to how competitive they would be. Depends on how much these guys improve: H.Fury, Jarrell Miller and D.Whyte rematch. Who knows, can Junior Fa get to that level? I haven't got super in-depth knowledge of HW prospects from around the world but I know in the UK there are some good ones that could face AJ in the future. Joe Joyce who won silver at the Olympics is turning pro this year. He's 31 so he will be moving fast. Regular sparring partner for AJ. He's 6'6 too. Then there's Frazer Clarke who will turn pro at some point, he's 25, 6'5 and ranked 4th in the world boxing series I think. Then the young guns, Nathan Gorman who is only 20, 9-0 trained by Ricky Hatton. Really good skills but only 6'3. The guy who Im predicting to take the torch off AJ when he is coming to the end is Daniel Dubois. 19 years old, 6'5, 2-0 - looks very promising. Beat the guy who shared the commonwealth bronze medal with Junior Fa in only his second pro fight. Long way off all that though lol. RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - Justapakeha - 05-05-2017 So some promising young heavies coming out of UK. Junior Fa has a way to go before he'll be a threat to the top 10; if ever. His last outing was against a guy called Daniel Tai for the NZ title. Tai was 22-9 at the time and is under 6". Junior looked pretty one dimensional in that fight and only won by MD. He's too tentative at the moment and afraid to really let rip with some good combinations. Needs to get more of an arsenal than simply jabbing and the occasional straight right and the odd body shot. Junior looks great when he's a little more aggressive. He's fighting again this month. Hopefully he ends the year out with a Fred Kassi level opponent to gauge where he's at. Jnr Fa is fighting Jnr Pati out of DTs gym this month, I'm not sure how Pati has advanced in the last year or so but he is short and strong if he catches you but Fa will just need to keep him at range and pop him with long shots and possibly tie up. Pati has short strong legs but is not a good mover so Fa should have no trouble avoiding avoiding him centre ring. A possible mismatch. Yep, Parker would have to be in Klit's position. That's the big question. Well done on your analysis. RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - Nablonicasso - 05-05-2017 Fa carrying an injury against Tai I believe, he did enough for the win. Agree that Fa looks better when he's going for the kill- fight on the wilder card showed that RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - Justapakeha - 05-05-2017 (05-05-2017, 10:15 AM)shamrock Wrote:(05-05-2017, 09:25 AM)Justapakeha Wrote: So some promising youngies coming out of UK. Maybe I jumped the gun when I thought hed be ready for a Fred Kassi or Kevin Johnson this yr. |
