Like Diehard- I'm just happy theres so many top 50 fighters in the HW division finally fighting one another. One slight improvement to the format of the list might be if you put them in date order like tm7s kiwis fighting abroad list? RE: Heavyweight Division - diehard - 02-09-2016 Looks like Izu is fighting in April in Poland, so I assume he'll be on the Adamek vs Molina card. Be interesting to see who he fights. Believe Helenius vs Duhaupas was cancelled. Helenius looking for another opponent. RE: Heavyweight Division - diehard - 02-09-2016 Helenius opponent named: Johann Duhaupas Oops, I wuz wrong: By Pasi Taavitsainen/Ammattinyrkkeily.net Unbeaten 6’7 heavyweight contender Robert “The Nordic Nightmare” Helenius (22-0, 13 KOs) hinted last week that “huge news” was coming Monday at a press conference. The news is that Helenius will take on Johann “The Reptile” Duhaupas (33-3, 20 KOs) on April 2 at the Heartwell Arena in Helsinki, Finland. Last year, Duhaupas put up a good effort against WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in Alabama. Tomasz Adamek Vs Eric Molina - April 2nd Helenius v Duhaupas on Apr 2nd for WBC Silver Belt Anthony Joshua Vs TBA - April 4th Joseph Parker Vs TBA - April 17th Deontay Wilder vs. TBA in April sometime David Haye v TBA - May 21 The Furious One™ v Vlad II. June 4th RE: Heavyweight Division - cranky - 02-09-2016 Cheers Nakifan! RE: Heavyweight Division - james5000 - 02-09-2016 TT has proved he is an anytime, anywhere fighter. Duco should have lined him up IMO, he would have given Joe some valuable experience and would have tested the youngster, a real decent test. TT isn't going to cost the world either, its not like people are lining up to fight him. TT is still a good fighter but tbh he wont beat a legitimate contender. If you can't beat TT now you aint anywhere close to being ready for a shot. TT has durability and pop and awkwardness but he's not a one punch ko artist by any means and his work rate is pathetic. Ortiz should win convincingly if he doesn't blow his load trying to take TT's head off. Its a good fight that I would like to see it. RE: Heavyweight Division - diehard - 02-09-2016 I see TT as a one punch fighter, and awkward lefthander like you say. He put Scott and Price on their bum. Parker and Stu were right to stay away from him. Bergman hit Joe with some good left hands. TT would have done more damage. Now that Joe has faced a southpaw, he'd be more ready for TT. Except that ship has sailed, and he needs to fight a top fighter in April. Someone better than TT that will get him a mandatory. TT won't do that. Jennings was too small for Ortiz. Thompson is good size, with power, but like james said, slow with a pathetic workrate. RE: Heavyweight Division - NakiFan - 02-09-2016 I slowed down that left hand Bergman hit Joe with in the 1st round. Because Joe came in quickly with the right hook Bergman could hit the opened up defense. The trouble was Joe was close and Bergman was backed up. The left from Bergman was a more of a short pop shot which hit the chest of Joe and slid up onto the jaw. Whilst it looked good...it just made Joe smile. |
