Sham, you go have a good time. Don't worry about Parker. Meet some old friends, find some new ones. Eat yourself silly. Go easy at the bar. Say hello to Mr Higgins for me. Try to have an open mind. Look forward to AJ vs Whyte next week. Embrace life.

That's all I can think of.

RE: Heavyweight Division - shamrock - 12-05-2015

Oh that's gracious of you die thankyou. I will get to see Jo at first hand as I know I'll be seeing a highly regarded professional athlete and those are the people I have been associated with for most of my life. As I havnt been to the fights for two years now I will certainly enjoy meeting up again with the old guard. Ironically the last time I was at a boxing tournament was at Claudelands as part of the national amateur boxing champs. I was training parkers niece too at the time.
There are a couple of other fighters I'm interested in looking at as well, regardless of their matchups.. incidentally, I don't drink anymore, but I'll enjoy some hot chips and cold water lol. You should be there too die so I can see if your whiskers have got longer..

RE: Heavyweight Division - diehard - 12-05-2015

I vowed I wouldn't pay for this, as I don't like circus acts, but Ms Diehard ordered it for me anyhow, as she knew I wanted to watch Horn, Izu, and Parker. Will you be at a corporate table Sham? Guess you won't know how close to the ring you'll be until you get there. Got a feeling that after CC in April Parker won't be around much anymore on these shores.

BTW, Parker's matchmaker, Stu Duncan, said that he's picking Whyte over AJ next week. Should be a good one.

Yes, let me know how Parker looks up close and personal. Never seen one of his fights live. Last fight I went to in Auckland was Barrett vs Cameron.

RE: Heavyweight Division - NakiFan - 12-07-2015

A hijacked cut and paste from another forum:

This thread prompted me to check out http://premierboxingorganisation.com/heavyweight-200 (which I at this stage prefer for independent rankings over Boxrec) which lists the last 20 opponent's ratings at the time of the fights, or "W" for someone outside of the top 100... so decided to compare the "W" versus top 100 ratios of the most recent fights for some guys, makes some interesting reading in order of least to most:

Wladimir Klitschko = 0%

Alexander Povetkin = 20%

Tyson Fury = 50%

Joseph Parker = 59%

Deontay Wilder = 60%

Anthony Joshua = 79%

Dillian Whyte = 88%

Or even the amount of top 100s in the last 5 fights:

Klitschko = 5

Povetkin = 5

Fury = 4

Parker = 4

Wilder = 4

Joshua = 2

Whyte = 2

Tyson Fury- "Suck my Balls"

As much as he's opened up the division, I somehow can't shake the feeling that he's a flash in the pan.

RE: Heavyweight Division - mippy - 12-08-2015

He hasn't really opened up the division until he beats Klit again. I'd give even odds of Klit winning his title back fairly easily.

RE: Heavyweight Division - Kiwi - 12-08-2015

The IBF belt looks like it will splinter off.

That opens things up
