RE: Heavyweight Division - diehard - 05-31-2022 Good fight for both of them. Nothing outstanding for the winner but I like when guys are evenly matched. RE: Heavyweight Division - diehard - 06-01-2022 Trevor Bryan says Daniel Dubois is a quitter WBA heavyweight champion Trevor Bryan has labeled his forthcoming opponent Daniel Dubois as a quitter who will be out of his depth when he challenges for the title on June 11 in Miami, Florida. “Daniel Dubois is a strong fighter, he has fought some good guys, but I am on a different level,” Bryant told Dev Sahni on the Unibet Lowdown. “You saw that when he came up against some good opposition, he quit, gave up. “You don’t quit, you don’t give up. I would rather go out on my shield. He is an okay guy but he is going in against a nightmare, I will be a nightmare for him and not the fight that he wants. Maybe he should have went back and tried to reverse the loss he had against Joe Joyce before he came to the champion. “Now that he’s said he wants the champion, he begged for this fight and now he has it. He has it and now he has to pay for it. I’m not the type of fighter where you can step in the ring and think you can walk all over me. I am not heavyweight champ for no reason and on June 11 I’m gonna show everybody that I am a name that you are supposed to respect. “I am that man who is going to be sticking around for a long time in this sport. I am taking over, so on June 11 you guys are going to see what Trevor Bryan, The Dream, is all about.” RE: Heavyweight Division - diehard - 06-01-2022 A quitter? Double D's gonna make him pay for that remark. RE: Heavyweight Division - diehard - 06-07-2022 Bryan-Dubois Full Lineup Here is the complete eight-bout lineup for Hall of Fame promoter Don King’s $29.99 pay-per-view event on Saturday night at the Casino Miami Jai-Alai: Trevor Bryan (22-0, 15 KOs) vs. Daniel Dubois (17-1, 16 KOs) (WBA heavyweight title) DaCarree Scott (7-0, 6 KOs) vs. Jonathan Guidry (17-1-2, 5 KOs) (NABA gold heavyweight championship) Johnnie Langston (10-3, 4 KOs) vs. Isaiah Thompson (6-1-1, 5 KOs) (NABA cruiserweight title) Tre-Sean Wiggins (13-5-3, 7 KOs) vs. Travis Castellon (17-4-1, 12KOs) (NABA welterweight title) Ahmed Elbialo (21-1, 18 KOs) vs. Dervin Colina (16-1, 14 KOs) (NABA light heavyweight title) Anthony Lenk (17-8, 7 KOs) vs. Ian Green (15-2, 11 KOs) (WBA Continental Americas middleweight title) Raynel Mederos (6-0, 1 KO) vs. Ryan Wilson (1-0, 1 KO) (six-rounds, super lightweight) Luis Rodriguez (8-0, 8 KOs) vs. Ryan Adams (8-5-1, 6 KOs) (six-rounds, super middleweight) RE: Heavyweight Division - diehard - 06-08-2022 https://www.boxing247.com/boxing-news/dereck-chisora-vs-kubrat-pulev-rematch-official-for-july-9-o2-london/224001 RE: Heavyweight Division - diehard - 06-08-2022 Chisora-Pulev rematch set for July 9 Heavyweights Derek Chisora (32-12, 23 KOs) and Kubrat Pulev (29-2, 14 KOs) will meet for a second time at The O2 in London on July 9 at the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany, live worldwide on DAZN (excluding Australia, New Zealand and France). Six years ago, Pulev beat Chisora by twelve round split decision in an IBF world title eliminator. “I’m delighted to get this fight over the line,” said Matchroom Sport Chairman Eddie Hearn. “Initially we worked on some other opponents for Derek, but this fight came out of nowhere a few days ago and I absolutely love it! I think the strapline, ‘Total Carnage’, is absolutely perfect for this fight, in terms of the build-up and in terms of the fight itself. Expect the unexpected but expect a thriller at The O2 on July 9. Both men have been longstanding fixtures of the world heavyweight division and it’s all or nothing at The O2 for both, as defeat could lead to the end of the road. Fans can expect a huge undercard and a brilliant main event for another brilliant event live on DAZN.” RE: Heavyweight Division - Beefstew - 06-08-2022 (06-08-2022, 11:57 AM)diehard Wrote: Chisora-Pulev rematch set for July 9 The Battle for Retirement Not really interested in this rematch. Especially if its on sky ppv. RE: Heavyweight Division - diehard - 06-08-2022 Nah, it's on DAZN for $3, or $15, depending on who you talk to. A nothing fight, but maybe the undercard is good. RE: Heavyweight Division - bart - 06-08-2022 I think its a fight I would not pay to watch but I still have DAZN so I will . Pointless fight for both guys apart from some retirement cash I thought Del was going to fight Kownacki which would have been a fun brawl, Pulev will jab Dels's face off. RE: Heavyweight Division - Infern0 - 06-08-2022 Seems an odd one to put Chisora back in with Pulev, considering Pulev handled him fairly easily last time and hasn't really shown any noticeable signs of decline. Will watch though as its a decent heavyweight fight. |
