RE: Heavyweight Division - diehard - 07-26-2019 Wilder speaks: https://fightnews.com/wbc-champ-wilder-rips-whyte-for-alleged-ped-use/50567 RE: Heavyweight Division - Beefstew - 07-26-2019 Interesting interview with Thomas Hauser and I agree the system is absolutely flawed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqTDFV8EPKU RE: Heavyweight Division - Westywarrior - 07-26-2019 So the guy who said AJ lost because he couldn’t use his TUE stateside , turns in a positive for Dianabol. It’s not going too well for Eddie is it. I wonder how Parker feels about having signed with Match room now RE: Heavyweight Division - craigyid14 - 07-26-2019 (07-26-2019, 06:21 PM)Westywarrior Wrote: So the guy who said AJ lost because he couldn’t use his TUE stateside , turns in a positive for Dianabol. He's probably thinking 'free drugs'. RE: Heavyweight Division - Kiwi - 07-26-2019 Maybe Parker becomes Last man standing RE: Heavyweight Division - diehard - 07-27-2019 That was my thinking. Parker looking pretty good now for Hearn with regards to AJ and Whyte. RE: Heavyweight Division - diehard - 07-30-2019 Chris Arreola: If I lose this fight, I will retire “If I lose this fight, I will retire, plain and simple,” says former heavyweight title challenger Chris “The Nightmare” Arreola. “I love the sport of boxing and I want people to still remember me as a world heavyweight champion. I believe I still have the skills to do so.” The 38-year-old Arreola (38-5-1, 33 KOs) takes on unbeaten heavyweight prospect Adam Kownacki (19-0, 15 KOs) on Saturday on FOX and he says he’s not coming to Brooklyn to be another “W” on Kownacki’s record. “When I fought Jameel McCline, he was one of those big heavyweights that everybody was talking about, but never made it,” said Arreola. “I don’t want to be that guy. I don’t want to be his Jameel. So that’s why I’m working hard out here with Joe Goossen. To make sure to put a little setback to his plans for the world title. He will get there, but my plan is to not let him use my name as a stepping stone. The 24-year-old Fury (23-2, 13 KOs), cousin of Tyson Fury, has been fearless in taking on the world’s heavyweight contenders, losing a majority 12 round decision in a WBO world title challenge to Joseph Parker in 2017. Then in October 2018 he lost on points to Kubrat Pulev in an IBF final eliminator. Former WBA world champion Povetkin (34-2, 24 KOs), a 2004 Olympic gold medallist, was last seen falling short in his challenge to dethrone former WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO Champion Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium in September 2018, succumbing to an onslaught in round seven. Alexander Povetkin: “Hughie Fury is a young, strong and challenging boxer for me to face. I am glad this fight will take place in the United Kingdom where people really love their boxing. I am anticipating an exciting fight and I look forward to returning to London next month.” Hughey Fury: “This fight here represents a massive opportunity. As soon as it was suggested, I said ‘yes.’ Povetkin is a completely different level to my last fight and I believe his style will compliment mine.” Eddie Hearn: “I can’t quite believe this fight has been made. It’s happened very quickly and it has to be said Hughie Fury has a big set of balls. There’s huge risk in the fight but there is also huge reward and if Hughie can beat Povetkin on August 31 he catapults himself into huge fights and immediate World title contention. It’s going to be a great fight on a great card – a huge night for British boxing.” RE: Heavyweight Division - bart - 08-01-2019 Tough night for Hughie, can't see him winning this but he can awkward for anyone. Brave choice I would have expected him to go after a Dave Allen level fighter |
