Except Fury wasn't undisputed either, as Wilder was the WBC champ. Who was the last? LL?

He (fury) wasn't undisputed but he was the lineal champion. Lineage established when klitschko beat chagaev.

Lewis was the last undisputed champion as back then the WBO wasn't considered a major title but he had the WBA, IBF, WBC and ring magazine titles

So there hasn't been one since then back in 2000

I'm a big Parker fan but have to agree with everything Mark Reason said. At the moment it's all hype and nobody who knows boxing would call Ruiz or Parker the best heavyweight in the world, regardless of who wins on Dec 10. Not saying he won't reach those heights, but he's not even at the door yet

Same could be said of any of the current heavy weight "Champs"

Thing is that Joe is beating better and better opposition, If he gets this title he'll get even better fights. Haye could be next, how awesome will that be?

If he wins he'll have just as much right to call himself "Champ" as Joshua or Wilder (so "a" champ, not "the" champ).

Big Money fights, unification fights, it's all there for Joe IF he beats Ruiz (which I think he should)

Exactly.

Ruiz has a plan:

Yep, he'll crowd Parker.  Surprise, surprise.  So Parker needs to back him up a few times with jabs and a right hand.  End of crowding him.  Ruiz has never fought like that, so it'll be interesting to see if he can do it with the loss of weight and in better shape.

That's the problem though, there shouldn't be bigger fights than the heavyweight championship of the world. I'm all for this fight, I just see Duco pulling the wool over non-boxing people's eyes

It's a vacant heavyweight title fight. It is what it is.

RE: Parker vs Ruiz for WBO - diehard - 11-14-2016

Don't know why it's an issue when Parker fights Ruiz for a belt but it's not an issue when AJ fought Martin for a belt.

Anyway, looked at Ruiz vs Lawrence. Ruiz CAN fight. He does much better when he's coming forward and throwing first. Has trouble, or did with Lawrence, when Lawrence got off first. If I were Parker, I'd keep throwing that jab all nite as it keeps Ruiz from getting off, and he has to reset. Follow it up with some right hands and he's sweet. Here's the Ruiz/Lawrence fight.
